Offering strong communication skills and dependability, Melanie is consistently focused on creative ways to meet the needs of clients. Her professional experience includes generating media opportunities, creating marketing materials, crafting compelling award nominations and curating website and social media content. She excels in developing strategies for law firm practice groups and rolling out marketing plans to support their objectives. Melanie is also comfortable taking on projects for emerging fields in the legal industry.

Melanie offers experience from both sides of the table, having previously held a communications and PR position within a global law firm. Her thorough understanding of law firms gives her a unique perspective when servicing clients in the legal space.     

Representative successes on behalf of clients include:

  • Conducted media training sessions for a law firm to prepare the attorneys for future interviews.
  • Developed and distributed an electronic newsletter which provided a platform for regular communication with the law firm’s clients and prospects to stay top of mind.  
  • Published a bylined article in Entrepreneur on behalf of a legal services provider, which assists entrepreneurs with forming LLCs. The placement gave the client greater visibility in its target market.
  • Facilitated on-camera interviews with local news stations for a law firm commenting on lawsuits against the City of Los Angeles.


Prior to joining Berbay, Melanie was a Communications Coordinator, Media/Public Relations at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP and a Communications/SharePoint Administrator at Windham Professionals.

She earned a B.S. in Information Design and Corporate Communication with a focus in Public Relations from Bentley University in Waltham, MA.
