    Sharon contributes her more than 25 years of success in strategic marketing to help ensure a positive outcome for Berbay clients. As the nucleus of the Berbay team, she empowers her staff to share their expertise and experience in every project, multiplying the benefits each client receives from working with Berbay.

    “We think of ourselves as an elite strike force,” she says. “Our clients don’t get just one person; they get everyone’s thoughts, all of our various strengths, working together.”

    Sharon’s experience—and the tenacity and diligence of her team—also means that marketing plans for Berbay clients are implemented effectively and quickly. Thinking strategically is second nature for Sharon and her staff, so no time is lost in the planning and preparation phase of marketing.

    When other firms might declare victory with a project, Sharon says, Berbay continues to look for ways to further leverage the material they have produced. “We don’t just say, ‘Great, we got coverage on this story,’” she says. “We say, ‘Great, we’ve got this news release out. Now what else can we do with this information that will further increase our client’s exposure to prospects and opinion leaders?’”

    Ultimately for Sharon, it’s all about creating satisfied and successful clients. “I can’t imagine doing this job without caring about our clients’ success,” she says. “We get tremendous satisfaction from gaining visibility for our clients and watching their success grow as a result.”

    Prior to founding the firm, Sharon held marketing management positions at Toyota Motor Sales; Ogilvy & Mather Advertising; Houlihan, Lokey, Howard & Zukin; and Arthur Andersen. She received her undergraduate degree from UCLA and her MBA from USC. Sharon has taught Marketing Plan Development at UCLA Extension. She is a past member of the editorial board of Marketing the Law Firm, as well as the California Society of CPAs State Marketing Committee. She writes and speaks extensively on marketing, and has presented marketing segments on nationally broadcasted programs. She has been quoted in the Los Angeles Times and Wall Street Journal, among other publications.

    Megan has a natural aptitude for crafting diverse stories that will attract the media’s attention in an oversaturated news marketplace. Megan takes a big picture approach when it comes to identifying how to get the most mileage out of a topic by repurposing it for speaking opportunities, converting it into website social media content, and turning it into a whitepaper.

    Megan’s clients rely heavily on her for her ability to remain collected in high pressure situations, such as high profile lawsuit filings, next day press conferences, and precedent setting deal closings. She is able to effectively move multiple projects forward, manage challenging personalities, and meet urgent deadlines, which are inherent in this type of business. Born and raised in Cleveland, she prides herself on her strong Midwestern roots, which keep her grounded. She graduated with honors from the University of Dayton in Ohio with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Entrepreneurship and is involved in various community and philanthropic positions. She serves as a cabinet member of the Jewish Federation – Real Estate and Construction group; has volunteered with School on Wheels for more than six years; and was formerly an Executive Committee Member of the Jewish Federation – Young Adults of Los Angeles as well as Co-Chair of the Ben-Gurion Society.

Clients rely on Michelle, who is always prepared and extremely persistent, to generate and manage media opportunities as well as handle content development such as bylined articles, speaking engagements, nominations, and website and social media materials. She has a talent for eliminating confusion and making processes as seamless as possible for both colleagues and clients.

    Michelle uses her strong writing and sales skills to draft compelling award nominations that promote the achievements and contributions of clients. Born, raised and still living in the Long Beach area of Southern California, Michelle attended San Diego State University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Marketing.     With a background as an on-air television reporter and anchor, Havonnah Johnson’s media experience is a true asset to clients, from crafting story ideas and obtaining high-profile media opportunities to guiding clients in media preparation and positioning.

    Thanks to her knowledge of media and communications, Havonnah understands how to identify and shape stories, as well as how to strategically meet clients’ business objectives through sound marketing campaigns. Cool under pressure and always ready for a challenge, Havonnah brings both purpose and fun to the table, instilling in her clients a sense of trust and value in her work.

    In addition to her television reporting experience, Havonnah also previously worked as a media and business consultant for a variety of non-profit organizations. She studied at the University of California, Santa Barbara and earned a B.A. in Journalism/Communication from Clark Atlanta University.

    Outside of work, Havonnah devotes time to community service activities, including volunteering with LA Youth and Family Foundation. She mentors young women in shaping their professional endeavors and works with individuals with developmental delays and special needs.

    Account Manager Amy Rossetti left behind Boston blizzards for Southern California sunshine to join the firm’s dynamic marketing team. Amy plays a key role in spearheading Berbay’s marketing and public relations initiatives, including facilitating the development of white papers and webinars and managing the firm’s online presence.  Amy tackles every project, challenge and deadline with enthusiasm and the determination to get the job done right.

    Amy is a graduate of Suffolk University in Boston where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Journalism with a concentration in Public Relations and a focus on Marketing. Through a variety of educational internship opportunities, Amy gained valuable marketing and public relations experience while planning high-profile events, creating and managing content for social media platforms, formulating promotional campaigns and strategies, increasing revenue for start-ups, providing sales assistance and lending support in the day-to-day administration of corporate projects.

    Originally from Portland, Oregon, Rekha graduated cum laude from Kenyon College in Ohio with a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Film. While at Kenyon, she contributed to several on-campus publications and was named to the college’s academic Merit List each semester. Rekha found her passion for marketing and public relations through several internships with nonprofits and digital marketing companies, during which she gained experience in social media marketing, managing editorial calendars, creating copy and designing layout for marketing materials.

    Kathleen Inocentes brings a variety of project skills to her work at Berbay. She has a great sense of creativity which she expresses in all of her projects, including drafting pitches, developing media lists, and maintaining website initiatives.

    Clients describe Kathleen as being extremely efficient, paying great attention to detail and meeting their needs effectively and promptly.

    Prior to joining Berbay as an Assistant Account Manager, Kathleen interned at the Regenerative Medicine Institute at Cedars Sinai Medical Center where she conducted stem cell research. In 2015, she was a summer intern at Berbay.

    Kathleen graduated with a B.A. in Sociology and a minor in Labor Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a Certificate in Business Marketing from Santa Monica College. In addition to her work at Berbay, Kathleen has volunteered for PATH (People Assisting the Homeless), helping individuals to obtain stable homes and jobs.

    Give Cindi Goldstein the name of a professional firm in Los Angeles, and she’s likely to know off the top of her head whether or not the firm is in Berbay’s extensive database. That knowledge comes from her ongoing commitment to keep Berbay’s data fresh and up to date. Cindi’s steady hand on the myriad details and mountains of data that make up Berbay’s day-to-day operation enables the rest of the staff to focus exclusively on their clients.

    Speaking of which, Berbay’s clients appreciate the fact that Cindi is diligent and meticulous with the billing process, ensuring that they are billed fairly and in a timely manner. When necessary, she takes the time to speak with account managers about specific activities on the billing statement to ensure that they are reflected accurately.

    “I see how much everybody here cares about the work they’re doing on behalf of our clients,” Cindi says, “and that motivates me to go all out to support them in their work. We really are one big team working for our clients’ success, and that includes what I do behind the scenes to make sure everything runs as smoothly as possible.”

    At Berbay Marketing & PR, Hamlet, Hermione and Hannah hold the important position of CEOs – Canine Efficiency Officers. The top dogs in the office, their job is to ensure that everyone at Berbay works their tails off for clients. The pups have an “open paw” management style. They promote lots of petting and are not opposed to begging and woofing to get what they want.

    Fetching employees, Hamlet, Hermione and Hannah have made their mark on all of Berbay’s projects. These cocker spaniels are constantly on the prowl, sniffing out new marketing and public relations ideas to chew on, and have been known to dig all night rather than settle on a less superb concept. In addition, they are staunchly efficient and are also known to work for kibble in order to complete projects under budget.

    Hamlet keeps everyone in line by batting his paw at them and demanding to be petted. Our newest, Hermione, is recognized for her creativity in overturning waste paper baskets and absconding with the other CEOs’ toys. Hannah chews on ideas while chewing on bones.

    While they know they are top dogs in the office, they never fail to remind us that the real top dogs are our clients.
