Sharon Cropped

Sharon Berman, a visionary leader, trusted mentor and beloved founder of Berbay Marketing & Public Relations, will be profoundly missed and forever remembered. Sharon’s legacy continues to inspire all who had the privilege of working with her. In remembrance of Sharon, her family kindly requests any donations be made to the Simms Mann UCLA Center for Integrative Oncology, which provided services and support as Sharon navigated her cancer journey. Please donate here.

Sharon founded Berbay in 1995 with the mission of developing and executing innovative marketing programs that drive growth for law, finance and real estate firms. With Sharon at the helm for more than 20 years, Berbay became a valued partner to professional services firms across the country, known for its professionalism, creativity and results-driven approach.

LEARNING HUB

Sharon was deeply respected by clients and colleagues not only for her business acumen but also her pioneering spirit and commitment to success. Her visionary leadership style, combined with a keen understanding of how to market professional service firms, set a standard in the industry and helped shape the careers of countless professionals. She fostered a culture of excellence at Berbay that continues to guide the firm today. Moreover, her tremendous generosity, humor and lovable quirks left a lasting imprint on the Berbay team and are missed in her absence each day.

Throughout her career, Sharon was a prolific writer, speaker and networker. A longtime ProVisors member, she led the West LA group for more than a decade. She also served on the editorial board of Marketing the Law Firm and the California Society of CPAs State Marketing Committee. In 2018, Sharon launched and hosted the Law Firm Marketing Catalyst podcast, which published more than 100 episodes through 2023, featuring thought-provoking conversations with legal marketing experts.

Prior to founding Berbay, Sharon held marketing management positions at Toyota Motor Sales; Ogilvy & Mather Advertising; Houlihan, Lokey and Arthur Andersen. She obtained her MBA from USC and her undergraduate degree from UCLA. Sharon also taught Marketing Plan Development at UCLA Extension for many years.

While Berbay was Sharon’s “baby,” she had other passions—the arts and jewelry. She was an avid jewelry collector, studied for her GIA Graduate Gemology diploma, wrote and spoke on related topics, and sat on numerous boards. Well-known in professional services marketing, Sharon became equally well-known in the antique art community.
