Megan Braverman Participates in Community Service Program at MacArthur Park

Principal Megan Braverman recently joined Heart of Los Angeles (HOLA) and Fallen Fruit at MacArthur Park in Los Angeles to remove damaged and rotting trees and replant fresh fruit trees around the neighborhood in an initiative known as the Urban Fruit Trails project. Fallen Fruit has been mapping and planting fruit in cities around the world since 2004, providing often-overlooked urban communities with public walking trails lined by fruit trees. It has transformed the neighborhood of MacArthur Park with more than 150-fruit trees by sustaining, nurturing and harvesting the trees throughout the years.

Heart of Los Angeles (HOLA) is an organization that enables undeserved youth with free, exceptional programs in academics, arts and athletics within a nurturing and positive environment, as well as empowering them to pursue their education and strengthen their communities.
